About Us

Killington Resort, located in central Vermont, stretches across seven mountain areas - including Pico Mountain - and features access to 191 trails and 28 lifts with one lift ticket. Killington features the highest lift-served skiing and riding in Vermont from the 4,241-foot summit of Killington Peak via the K-1 Express Gondola. Killington averages 250 inches of natural snow each winter, complemented by the world’s most extensive snowmaking system, covering 814 of 1,215 skiable acres. In fact, Killington Resort has more snowmaking coverage than most eastern resorts have in total skiable terrain and guarantees remarkable conditions from mid-November through early May!

Killington is the largest resort in the northeast and is known for its diversity of terrain and network of lifts – including three gondolas - delivering skiers and riders of all ability levels to groomed wide-open cruisers, classic narrow New England trails, moguls, steeps and 15 tree-skiing areas. Killington offers multiple terrain features for snowboarders and freeskiers including Bear Mountain’s signature terrain parks and 430-foot long Superpipe with 18-foot walls.

Killington’s combined snowmaking and grooming firepower is superior to any other resort in the United States. With almost 100 miles of snowmaking pipe, 1,850 snow guns and 20 snowcats grooming 45+ miles of terrain on a nightly basis, Killington offers consistent top-to-bottom, wall-to-wall corduroy daily on a variety of trails from wide open cruisers such as Needle’s Eye and Skyeburst to the steep carving terrain on Double Dipper and Cascade.

With the K-1 Lodge located at 2,500 feet above sea level, Killington's elevation advantage equals more natural snow and optimal temperatures to produce machine-made snow from October through late April. Combined with the K-1 Gondola, Killington offers more terrain (especially expert trails and terrain parks) than any other eastern resort during early and late season!

Killington Resort offers numerous off-mountain winter activities and adventures including dog sledding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and ice skating, combined with more than 100 restaurants and bars and shopping options throughout the region. During the summer months experience Killington's 18-hole championships golf course and alpine slides, lift-served mountain biking and hiking via the K-1 Gondola on 45 miles of trails.
