Snowboarders Louie Vito and Kelly Clark from Vermont along with Freeskier Kevin Rolland Win Superpipe Finals

KILLINGTON, Vt. (January 22, 2011) –Over 140 of the best snowboarders and freeskiers in the world have descended upon Killington Resort to throw down in four days of heart-pounding competition at the 2nd stop of the Winter Dew Tour. Today, the superpipe finals culminated in an under-the-lights aerial battle for Dew Cup bragging rights.

Louie Vito, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, won his second straight snowboard superpipe Winter Dew Tour final, further securing his lead in overall rankings heading into the final stop of the 2010-11 Tour at Snowbasin in Utah. Vito is now one of the leading contenders for Toyota Athlete of the Year. On the women’s side, Vermont’s own Kelly Clark of West Dover achieved her first snowboard superpipe win of the 2010-11 season.
Kevin Rolland, of La Plagne, FRA, continues to earn a place on the podium throughout his Winter Dew Tour career, winning the second stop of the 2010-11 Tour. Now a lead Dew Cup contender, Rolland is tied with Simon Dumont in the overall Tour ranking as they head into the final stop of the season.

“We are thrilled to be hosting the second stop of the Winter Dew Tour,” states Rob Megnin, Killington’s director of sales and marketing. “It has been exciting to watch these world-class athletes battle it out in our massive 22-foot superpipe and we’re looking forward to seeing an epic duel in the slopestyle finals tomorrow.”
