KILLINGTON, Vt. (Winter 2009-10) – Conveniently located in Central Vermont, Killington Resort and Pico Mountain are easily accessible by planes, trains and automobiles!

Commercial, private air service to Killington
Flying to Killington Resort via commercial or private aircraft is convenient and easy through the Rutland Southern Vermont Regional Airport.

Just 22 miles from Killington, the Rutland Southern Vermont Regional Airport, is the closest commercial airport to skiing and snowboarding in the Northeast. With two lighted runways and a nationally recognized snow removal program, the Rutland Southern Vermont Regional Airport is the home of three daily nonstop flights to/from Boston’s Logan International Airport via Cape Air, which operates nine-passenger Cessna 402s.

Cape Air's partnership with Jet Blue airlines, which is located in the same terminal at Logan International Airport, means passengers traveling to other locations on Jet Blue can change planes seamlessly in Terminal C without going through an additional security check at Logan.

For private aviation, Columbia Air Services offers fixed based operation (FBO) at the Rutland Southern Vermont Regional Airport.  Columbia Air Services features full service general aviation support for charter and management of jet, turboprop, and piston powered aircrafts.

Major carriers, including American Airlines, United, USAirways, Delta, Northwest, and Continental, all have direct service to Burlington International Airport, in South Burlington, Vt. JetBlue also flies into Burlington. Just two hours away, guests can fly into Manchester, N.H. or Albany, N.Y. with the above major carriers and Southwest Airlines. Other gateway airports include Lebanon, N.H.; Albany, N.Y.; and Hartford, Conn.

Amtrak’s Ethan Allen Express
Amtrak train service is available from New York City’s Pennsylvania Station (NYP) on the Ethan Allen Express to Rutland, Vt. (RUT), with connecting shuttle service to Killington via Gramps Shuttle.

The five hour train ride from Penn Station travels along scenic the Hudson River in New York with stops in Albany and Saratoga Springs, NY, among others, and into the picturesque mountains of Vermont. Amtrak offers both business and coach class on the Ethan Allen Express.

Located 15 miles east of Rutland, Vt. Killington Resort is easily accessible via U.S. Routes 4 and 7 and major interstate highways of 91, 87 and 89.

Killington Resort’s Snowshed Lodge serves as main transportation hub for “The Bus,” providing the Killington/Rutland communities convenient and reliable transportation seven days a week from early morning through late evening. Skyeship Base, Pico Mountain, Snowshed Lodge, K-1 Lodge and all lodging properties managed by Killington Resort are fare-free zones. For all other destinations, the fare is just $2.00.

Killington guests who arrive via plane, train or bus can easily use The Bus network of routes for transportation to mountain base areas, restaurants, shops and nightlife on Killington Road, as well as the movie theaters, shopping malls, and stores of Rutland. The Bus also connects to other public transportation systems via the Rutland Transportation Center in downtown Rutland.
