LATEST STORM DELIVERS 14 INCHES TO VERMONT’S KILLINGTON RESORT; $42 LIFT TICKETS OFFERED

02/20/2009

KILLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont’s Killington Resort, the largest ski and snowboard resort in the East, received another 14 inches of new snow from the latest winter storm.

“We’re having an outstanding snow year!” said Patricia Ryan, Killington’s director of sales, marketing and reservations.

For the season, Killington has received 222 inches of snowfall, just a few feet shy of the resort’s 20-year annual average of 250 inches. With more snow in the forecast for this weekend and next week, Killington may eclipse its annual average prior to March – the snowiest month of the season averaging 57 inches.

To celebrate the new snowfall and kick off the month of March, Killington Resort is offering a limited number of discounted lift tickets - some as low as $42 - available online www.KillingtonDealGrabber.com. Deal Grabber tickets go on sale Monday at 8 a.m. Purchases must be completed and prepaid with a valid credit card and may be picked up at any open ticket window by showing purchase confirmation and a photo ID.  a photo

Killington currently has an average mid-mountain base depth of 40-54 inches and more than 135 open trails served by 22 lifts.
