A host of activities and events to be paired with great lodging deals all season long
Killington, VT – The Killington Pico Area Association (KPAA) has announced an exciting lineup of events for the 2016 fall season produced in conjunction with its member businesses. The robust schedule includes signature events such as: Killington Brewfest Weekend, the Up & Downhill Roll, the Spartan Race, Bootcampers Against Breast Cancer, and the inaugural Killington WitchCraft event on Columbus Day Weekend. In conjunction with these events and fall foliage, Scenic Killington Lodging Packages are offered beginning at $53 per night.
“The foliage season is always such a beautiful time of year in Vermont, and with all of these upcoming events everyone is going to find something to love about Killington this fall,” says Amy Morrison, KPAA Director. “Killington is the perfect place to enjoy Vermont’s most season, and with these great lodging deals, you can easily spend the weekends in the mountains.”

Sherburne Memorial Library Photo Scavenger Hunt
September 9-11, 2016
Hosted by the Sherburne Memorial Library and the Sherburne Historians, the Killington Photo Scavenger Hunt will put your Killington knowledge to the test.
Vittoria Eastern States Cup Enduro Championships
September 10-11, 2016
Top mountain bikers from around the country will gather at Killington Resort to compete in the Regional Enduro Finals. The Eastern States Cup is officially sanctioned by USA Cycling for Mountain Biking.
Lookout For Each Other Golf Extravaganza

Lookout Tavern owners Phil and Joy Black invite folks to join in on a great day of golf, fun, great food and community spirit at Killington Resort’s Golf Course. The annual event has more than $150,000 since its inception and donated all proceeds to a variety of local needs including families who have lost a parent, cancer victims, area youth organizations, women’s clubs, and more. All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Killington Community Trails Initiative.
Green Mountain Pug Rescue Annual Pug Social

Over 300 pugs and their owners gathered in Killington, Vermont for Green Mountain Pug Rescue’s 12th Annual Pug Social at the Sherburne Memorial Library.

Home of the 2014 Spartan World Championship, this course is brutal. Located in what is known as ‘Joe’s backyard’, this land is where the company was founded; that means anything goes. Steep slopes. Muddy waters. Huge hills. This epic setting makes for one of our most intense, challenging, demon-riddled Beasts of the year. We’re looking for the baddest beasts of the east to come tear up the terrains where Spartan Race has its roots. Be forewarned though, the course is known to destroy the body, legs, mind and soul. Competitors can choose to race in the Ultra Beast: 26+ miles, the Beast: 12+ miles or the 3.5+ mile Sprint. Additionally, young Spartans are invited to race the Spartan Kids Races.
Boot Campers Against Breast Cancer

Run or walk during the third annual 5K fundraiser. All proceeds go to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Rutland County. The flat and fast course winds along River Road and ends at the Killington Recreation Center. Entry includes admission to the BBQ and fundraising party at Charity's Tavern following the race. Additional events at the race include kid’s field games, yoga, and face painting.
Killington Brewfest Weekend
September 30 – October 1, 2016
Wet your whistle with a backdrop of 4,241’ of Vermont’s finest autumn foliage and enjoy live music, a plethora of fabulous food offerings and over 100 of the finest craft beers in the region. One of Killington’s most distinctive annual celebrations, the Brewfest gets bigger and bigger every year. This year’s action-packed two-day event featuring a golf tournament, VIP and regular tasting sessions and a Brewers Bunch is sure to keep any beer enthusiast busy. Up & Downhill Roll
October 2, 2016
A celebration of all disciplines of cycling, this relay-style race returns with the first person crossing the finish line winning the race for the team. Three person relay teams consist of one road rider, one cross country rider, and one downhill rider; after the race is finished, all riders gather and ride in a "critical mass" from Snowshed base to Sushi Yoshi to begin the After Party and Awards Ceremony.

Audi FIS Ski World Cup

Thanksgiving weekend, 2016, Killington Resort proudly hosts the Audi FIS Ski World Cup. This World Cup event will include the women’s giant slalom and slalom races and is expected to bring U.S. Ski Team superstars Julia Mancuso, Mikaela Shiffrin and Lindsey Vonn to compete against the best women’s technical alpine skiers in the world. Free standing room for viewing will be available.
