KILLINGTON RESORT’S UNITED WAY FUNDRAISER NETS MORE THAN $3,000 FOR LOCAL CHARITIES
KILLINGTON, Vt. – Killington Resort donates more than $3,000 to the United Way of Rutland County from proceeds raised during it’s annual summer kickoff on June 27.
"Killington Resort has been very generous in supporting our community through United Way,” said Chuck Sharp, director of the United Way of Rutland County. “We really can't thank them enough for their tremendous and continued support."
More than 300 guests donated $10 to the United Way to enjoy a free day of Adventure Center activities including the Alpine Slides, climbing wall, the new Pico Power Jump and mini-golf at Pico Mountain and lift-served hiking and mountain biking via the K-1 Gondola at Killington on June 27.
“Once again we kicked off the summer season by providing local guests and visitors the opportunity to support the United Way while enjoying the many outdoor activities at Killington and Pico,” said Tom Horrocks, communications and public relations manager for Killington Resort. “The United Way of Rutland County provides many services and we’re proud to continue to build upon a tradition of supporting their efforts and creating awareness for the programs they offer in our community.”
Over the past three year Killington Resort has raised more than $26,000 for the United Way of Rutland County, which distributed the funding to charities throughout the Rutland County area.
