SLIDE, JUMP OR RIDE, PICO MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE CENTER OFFERS SUMMER, FALL FOLIAGE FUN
KILLINGTON, Vt. – Summer fun rolls on long after the snow melts as the Pico Mountain Adventure Center offers many entertaining activities from guided horseback rides, to Alpine Sides, mini golf and the Pico Power Jump for kids of all ages.
The Pico Mountain Adventure Center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 27 through September 7, and then weekends through October 12.
Enjoy beautiful views on the chair ride up and then catch a refreshing alpine breeze on your way down Pico Mountain’s Alpine Slide. S-turns, banked corners and straight-aways will keep you moving as you plunge down 650 vertical feet. Or for a more leisurely descent, feel free to hike down or take the chair lift back to the base area.
Guided Horseback Trail Rides
Let our cowboys guide you on a leisurely stroll along the trail and into the mountains. One-hour guided horseback trail rides meander through lush Birch, Maple, Oak and Pine forests and open meadows, providing outstanding views of Green Mountains.
Whether this is your first time, or you are as experienced as our wranglers, we accommodate all levels of riders. We provide horses and guides to take you on an amazing adventure. Guided horseback trail rides must be booked in advanced and costs $45.
For kids, we offer 10 minute pony rides, which offer not only candid photo opportunities, but an introduction to western adventures for the little buckaroos.
Pico Mountain’s two climbing walls provide a great way to learn how to climb and a spectacular view of the mountains while doing so. Whether it’s your first ascent or you’re looking to hone your skills before heading out into the mountains, the climbing walls have everything you need.
The Pico Mountain Adventure Center offers 19 fun-filled holes of mini golf that will be sure to challenge, delight and amuse individuals of all ages.
Pico Power Jump
Combine a trampoline and a bungee jump and you get one of the wildest and exciting contraptions around. Experience the feeling of leaping tall buildings in a single bound! Or shoot upwards and experience the adrenaline rush of a single, double, or even a triple somersault all while secured by a power bungee. The new quad Pico Power Jump makes it easy for kids and adults to bounce flip and fly! Minimum age is 6 and riders must weigh between 40-180 lbs.
Pico Falls Hike
A scenic hike beyond the Pico Mountain Stables and just past the Knomes Knoll Triple Chair leads to Pico Falls, a beautiful 40-foot waterfall cascading down granite and moss-covered stone.
