KILLINGTON RESORT FUNDRAISER RAISES MORE THAN $3,000 FOR UNITED WAY OF RUTLAND COUNTY

KILLINGTON, Vt.Killington Resort’s United Way Day Adventure Center summer kickoff raised $3,070 for the United Way of Rutland County on Friday, June 29.

"United Way cannot thank the wonderful folks at Killington Resort for what they bring to our community,” said Chuck Sharp, executive director for the United Way of Rutland County. “By partnering with United Way they provide funds to help better the lives of our residents. They are a great community partner and we can't thank Killington/Pico enough for their support."

More than 250 guests donated $10 to the United Way to enjoy a free day of Adventure Center activities including the Alpine Slides, climbing wall, the Bungee Thing and mini-golf at Pico Mountain and lift-served hiking and mountain biking via the K-1 Gondola at Killington.  “Once again the local community stepped up to support the United Way while enjoying the many outdoor activities at Killington and Pico,” said Tom Horrocks, communications and public relations manager for Killington Resort. “The United Way of Rutland County provides many services and we’re proud to continue to build upon a tradition of supporting their efforts and creating awareness for the programs they offer in our community.” Over the past two years, Killington Resort has raised more than $20,000 for the United Way through Pico Card promotions and United Way Days.
