Killington Golf Course is once again teaming up with The PGA of America and the United States Golf Association to participate in the fourth annual Patriot Golf Day on Labor Day, September 6.

Killington will offer a special rate of $39 (plus tax) all day Monday, September 6th, which includes 18-hole greens fees, cart and a $10 donation to the Folds of Honor Foundation. The Folds of Honor Foundation provides deserving military families with educational support and opportunities, including post-secondary educational scholarships to the spouses and children of service members disabled or killed as a result of their military service to our great nation.

The Folds of Honor Foundation's primary fundraiser is Patriot Golf Day, the largest grassroots golf platform in the country. With the support of the PGA of America and USGA, Patriot Golf Day has generated more than $5.7 million from more than 3,700 golf courses in just three years.

The inaugural Patriot Golf Day was held Sept. 1, 2007, and resulted in donations of more than $1.1 million from more than 3,200 golf facilities.  In 2008, more than $2.1 million was raised at more than 3,800 golf facilities nationwide. In the past two years, more than 600 educational scholarships have been given through the Folds of Honor Foundation.

Patriot Golf Day was inspired by Major Dan Rooney, a PGA Professional and USGA member from Broken Arrow, Okla.  Rooney has served three tours of duty in Iraq as an F-16 pilot in the 125th Fighter Squadron of the Oklahoma Air National Guard.
