It’s a tale as old as time. Skier goes on vacation with friends, they hit the slopes and share a chairlift with a rider. Skier and rider hit it off and spend the rest of the weekend together, falling in love. Skier and rider decide to get married, and where should they hold the wedding? What better place than the resort that started it all. You don’t have to look very far to find the beauty hidden within The Beast!

Located among the trees along the Northbrook Trail is the Ledgewood Yurt. Open during the snowiest season (typically January-March), this 34 person venue is picture-perfect for a stunning winter wedding. Your journey to the yurt starts with a majestic open-air sleigh ride, and once you’ve reached your wood-stove warmed destination, you’ll enjoy an intimate five course meal surrounded by loved ones. Bonus points for natural snowfall!

More of the adventurous type? Then you’ll love the scenic K-1 Express Gondola ride required to get to Killington’s Peak Lodge, and the views from the top. The Peak Lodge sits at 4,100’ making it Vermont’s highest elevation public structure, and the stunning new building delivers breathtaking views of five states and Canada with floor to ceiling windows on all sides! The Peak Lodge is only available for private functions on select dates, but is a destination people will be talking about for years to come. A must for hikers, mountain bikers and snow sports enthusiasts alike.

Though this space is often buzzing with amazing welcome parties and BBQs, the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bars are a great venue for a low key wedding ceremony too. Tucked into the hillside, at the base of the K-1 Express Gondola, the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bars offer stellar views of steep ski trails and the vast valley below. With its signature yellow umbrellas, this unique spot also has adjacent space for a formal tented wedding. It’s perfect for those that want a little ski resort charm!

Traditionalists need not despair! The Killington Grand Resort Hotel’s Ballroom is perfect for blending the mountain air with a flawless, detailed wedding. With space for up to 250 guests, it easily fits those with a large extended family. Located adjacent to Snowshed Pond, the Grand Ballroom’s windows let in copious amounts of natural light and beautiful mountain views!
