Posted by The Beast on February 19, 2015
We're in the midst of a winter for the ages with over 13 feet of snow so far, but The Beast likes to plan ahead. To prepare for the impending thaw and the soft bumps and goggle tans it will bring, we're rolling out a loaded events calendar for our 2015 NOR'BEASTER spring celebration.
Plus, we've got a Spring Pass for those of you who prefer your shred with a side of sunglasses and Umbrella Bar refreshments.
Ten toasts for spring!
1. Bash at The Stash
2. Tastes of Vermont
Ski Vermont’s Specialty Food Day means free tastings from your favorite Vermont food companies like Cabot Cheese and Ben & Jerry’s, plus loads of VT maple syrup and new companies you probably haven’t heard of yet.
While you’re at Bear Mountain, why not wash that food down with a Mountain Dew courtesy of pro snowboarder Scotty Lago?
3. Bear’s gotta hibernate
It’s bittersweet to see Bear Mountain go to bed for the season, so we send it out in style with the Hibernation Park Jam in Dream Maker. Did we mention free BBQ?
4. Skim it real good
Whether you’re ready to water ski or just want to watch the splashes, the Killington Pond Skim is a spring rite of passage.
Sunrise Sunday service at the Peak Lodge followed by a community breakfast and egg hunts for all ages at the K-1 Base Lodge? Rise and shine.
6. A most interesting challenge
7. Zero confusion
Rip down Superstar to the Umbrella Bars for a cold beverage and live music all day long. The First Annual Dazed and Defrosted music festival must be experienced to be believed.
8. May daze
When the other resorts close for the season and start thinking about cutting the grass, The Beast keeps the dream alive. The May Day Slalom is your last shot at summer bragging rights and the Killington Triathlon will get you pedaling and running, if you still remember how.
9. Sick of shoveling yet?
The storm pattern this winter has been great for The Beast, but we understand some of our friends in Boston are getting sick of the snow in their back yards. Get out of the city and up to the mountains where the snow is good - and do it on the cheap.
10. Unlimited spring turns – under $200!
As if you needed any more incentive to spend spring at Killington, the Unlimited Spring Pass is on sale now for just $199 and it’s valid from Saturday, March 14 through the end of the season. Make it happen.
