One of the most serene (and least traveled) ways to experience the Killington region’s autumn season is from the water. Local lakes and ponds abound, from the glassy waters at Colton and Kent Ponds which are just minutes from the bottom of the Killington Access Road to nearby Woodward Reservoir off Route 100.
Hint: double down on the day and bring your fishing rod. Casting the day away while soaking in the height of fall colors is memorable to say the least, and the bass fishing is particularly good up here.
