Killington 101 :: Spring Operations 2.0, Now With Deals
Posted April 11, 2014
Corn snow, goggle tans and a warm breeze? Yep, springtime is in full swing, and we want you to get the most of it. As we make moves toward Superstar slush laps and cooking out, it’s easy to forget that there’s more good stuff going on than the sun on your face. We can’t wait to send the longest season in the East off with a bang – get involved.
1. Get more turns, pay less.
We have so much snow that we’ve got to share it – bring us your passes and tickets from this season, no matter where from, and we’ll put you on the hill for half price on weekdays and 25% off on weekends. And My Pico Pass Holders, we’ll sweeten the deal for you – it’s 50% off every day. (Pssst – Killington tickets count, too.) Bounce Back to The Beast, y’all.
2. Some extra season? Yes, please.
While we still have to put Bear Mountain to bed this weekend, we’re extending the K-1 Gondola’s operations through April 20, 2014. That means we’ll open the Peak Lodge, too! And don’t worry; gondola or no, you can count on the K-1 Base Lodge, Mahogany Ridge and the Umbrella Bars until the very last chair of the season.
Remember that we’ll be spinning key lifts until 5:00 p.m. this Saturday, and starting Sunday, April 13, 2014, the Superstar Express Quad will spin until 5:00 p.m. every day!
3. Pond skims and biking and BBQ, too.
You came, you saw, and you conquered a whole season of competitions and events, from Rails 2 Riches to the Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge. But we’re not done yet. Get a piece of the Hibernation Park Jam this weekend, Pond Skimming on April 19, or the Killington Triathlon on May 3. There’s a full schedule for the coming weeks and straight into summer.
4. Always check the conditions report first – mornings can be pretttty fast.
Getting up early just to find your favorite trail closed? Don’t lose hope. Ski patrol will open terrain throughout warm afternoons as the sun softens the trails, so don’t be surprised if morning trail counts are lower than you’d expect. As always, Mother Nature is in charge, and operations can change quickly.
5. Pass Holder perks just keep on coming.
You stuck with us through the good, the bad and the frigid, and now it’s time to celebrate. Whether you’re a weekend warrior, a hardy local or a 100 Day Club veteran, we’re throwing you a party with live music, free demos and killer prizes. We’re also upping the discount ante to 30% off on-mountain food and beverage for you Unlimited Pass Holders through the end of the season.
Plus, flash your pass on the access road and score these deals:
