4:48 pm 03/27/15--One day soon, skiers and riders, spring will settle into the Killington area and relegate those neck gaiters and balaclavas to the summer storage bin. Not today, and not tomorrow, but one day soon. Capricious Mother Nature is bringing back winter for the weekend so grab those neck gaiters and balaclavas and head for Killington where skiing or riding the most open terrain in the East is the best way to spend a wintry weekend.

Overnight temperatures dipping into the low teens will necessitate an aggressive grooming plan, and our team is up to the task. 89 trails will get the corduroy treatment, including all the usual easier terrain plus select expert trails like Outer Limits, Double Dipper, and Cascade. As usual, key lifts will load at 8:00 a.m. and many lifts will spin for an extra hour, until 5:00 p.m.

Beginning this Saturday, March 28, 2015, key lifts* will operate until 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays, weather permitting, so you can enjoy the late afternoon sunshine. As the season winds down and Superstar is the only lift operating, we will run Superstar Express until 5:00 p.m. on each day that it scheduled.

Killington Parks
More than 130 jumps, jibs, boxes, and rails, plus a Superpipe and a Mininpipe, reside in our 5 unique parks. Hibernation Park Jam is taking place Saturday, in the Dream Maker Park and freshly cut Superpipe. Get the lowdown.

Killington tickets and passes are always valid at Pico Mountain so be sure to check out our friendly sister just a few minutes west. Combined, the two resorts currently offer more than 80 miles of open terrain which is, by far, the most in the East. Get the details at picomountain.com.

This weekend, reward yourself at the World of Adventure Dos Equis Aprs Ski Party featuring the XX Feast of the Brave, XX Big Air Challenge, live music and Dos Equis beer at the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bars. Are you up for the adventure?
