5:35 pm 03/31/15--The month of March is over, but winter clearly is not. We woke up to an inch of fresh snow on Tuesday and warming temps throughout the day softened trails and glades. Temps are expected to dip slightly into Wednesday, but an afternoon warmup with more spring-like skiing and riding will be waiting on the other side. More than 90% of Killington terrain is open for skiing and riding this week and that means more than 1420 acres of terrain; the most skiing and riding in the East.

72 trails are on the grooming plan for Wednesday including most terrain at Snowshed and Ramshed, plus more advanced trails like Double Dipper and the Vertigo head wall. Needles Eye also gets a groom Tuesday night and is closed for racing Wednesday afternoon, so get there early for fresh corduroy on a classic Killington steep.

Mogul fans will find seeded bump venues on Outer Limits and Mouse Trap as well as on natural terrain trails North Star and Cascade which bumped up nicely in the Tuesday sun and the grooming team will avoid. Key lifts are scheduled from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

As a spring bonus, key lifts* will operate until 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays, weather permitting, so you can enjoy the late afternoon sunshine. As the season winds down and Superstar Express is the only lift operating, we will run it until 5:00 p.m. on each day that it scheduled.

Killington Parks
The Bear Mountain Superpipe got a fresh cut Monday night, plus we have more than 100 jumps, jibs, boxes, and rails, plus a Mininpipe, ready to shred in our 5 unique parks. Get the lowdown.

Killington tickets and passes are always valid at Pico Mountain so be sure to check out our friendly sister just a few minutes west. Combined, the two resorts currently offer more than 80 miles of open terrain which is, by far, the most in the East. Get the details at picomountain.com.
