10:58 am 04/19/15--Welcome to another beautiful spring day in Killington. It doesn't get much better than sunny skies and temperatures in the 50s so grab some sunscreen and take advantage of the last lift operating day at Bear Mountain and Needles Eye. We may be saying goodbye to three lifts for the season but The Beast is far from done. The upper Mountain will continue be served by the K-1 Express through April 26 and the Superstar Express is still looking good for June.

Please note that while parking is available at Bear Mountain, there are no ticket sales there. If you need to purchase a day ticket, please park at the K-1 Base Area.

Feel free to get a leisurely start today because the best skiing and riding will start mid-morning when the warmth of the sun has had a chance to counteract the overnight chill. Some trails might be a little scratchy at first chair but everything should soften nicely in the sun. Superstar, Cascade, and East Fall will be among the 43 trails freshly groomed but we'll leave the moguls on plenty of trails too, like Double Dipper, Outer Limits, and Northstar. Lifts are scheduled from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Open terrain is for intermediate and advanced skiers only. Be aware of spring conditions and thin cover; ski or ride with care. Food and beverage, retail, rental, repair, and lift tickets are available at the K-1 Base Lodge and food and drinks are available daily at the Peak Lodge. Group Lessons have ended for the season but private lessons can be purchased at K-1 guest services through April 19.

As a spring bonus the K-1 Express Gondola and Peak lodge will operate for an extra week, through April 26. The K-1 Express, Snowdon Quad and Superstar Express lifts will operate until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday April 25 and thereafter the Superstar Express will operate until 5:00 p.m. on each day that it is scheduled.
