2015 Spartan Race

Home of the 2014 Spartan World Championship, this course is brutal.

Located in what is known as ‘Joe’s backyard’, this land is where the company was founded; that means anything goes. Steep slopes. Muddy waters. Huge hills.  This epic setting makes for one of our most badass, challenging, demon-riddled Beasts of the year. We’re looking for the baddest beasts of the east to come tear up the terrains where Spartan Race has its roots. Be forewarned though, the course is known to destroy the body, legs, mind and soul.

This is a Spartan Race like the founders envisioned. They’ve gotten on their hands and knees to build the course. You’ll have to do the same to complete it.

Competitors can choose to race in the Ultra Beast Race: 26+ miles, the Beast Race: 12+ miles or the 3.5+ mile sprint. Additionally, young Spartans are invited to race the Spartan Kids Races.

Rather watch? We’ve got you covered. Spectator locations will be set up the K-1 deck, the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bars, the Snowshed area and the Snowshed Pond.

September 19-20, 2015

The Spartan Beast obstacle course race includes the following:

  • 3.5+ miles
  • 12+ miles battlefield of insane mud running
  • 21+ miles obstacles to test your physical strength and mental resolve
  • Plus each adult race will feature 1-2 water crossings or obstacles on the course that racers must navigate. Athletes that cannot swim will be given personal flotation devices (PFDs).
  • ½ mile and 1 mile Spartan Kids Races

If you’re in over your head, a dignified exit of the race is available at mile 3. Racers will need to choose between relaxation or the challenging race obstacle course. What will you choose?

Spartan Kids Race

Kid size obstacles. Spartan size hearts.

Why should adults have all the fun? Bring the kids (ages 4-13) who can participate in their very own Spartan race.

Our mission is to inspire children to develop a love for fitness at an early age. We provide safe, age appropriate obstacle course race venues to build participant confidence, while enjoying a thrilling outdoor activity. We encourage kids to jump, run, get muddy, help each other and have a good time, while conquering obstacles that mimic the adult race.
