Live Music

Pariah Beat

Hailing from the backwoods of Vermont, Pariah Beat plays old time roots music with a youthful edge. Described as "a dirt-encrusted buzzsaw from the past, moving forward with the weight of a freight train behind them," they take that sentiment to heart, rooting the tunes they play and the stories they tell firmly in the now.

Pete Kilpatrick Band

The Pete Kilpatrick Band hails from the coastal city of Portland, Maine. They have been writing, recording, and performing regularly since 2004 and have released five independent albums to date. They have been named Maine’s best act four times in the Best of Portland Music Awards and have performed over 1,000 shows since their formation. Throughout the spring of 2011, the band was on the road with O.A.R. and DJ Logic performing at various ski resorts throughout the country as part of FestEvol and Dave Matthews Band bassist Stefan Lessard’s IZstyle Winter Tour.

The Pete Kilpatrick Band has been referred to as a “folk singer-songwriter with a rock ‘n’ roll band,” and the band feels that it’s a perfect title. The songs are acoustically driven but maintain a full and layered sound due largely in part to electric guitarist Pete Morse and Keyboardist Tyler Stanley’s approaches. Bassist Matt Cosby and drummer Ed Dickhaut round out the group comprised of five close friends who have a deep appreciation for writing and performing music. Their sound has been compared to Travis, The Frames, and Guster, and as NewBandDaily.com puts it, the band “has that suburban sensibility, that clarity and sweetness sometimes so necessary after a hard day’s work.”

Together they have shared the stage with Dave Matthews Band, Guster, David Gray, Ray Lamontagne, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, G Love, Barenaked Ladies, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, and Brett Dennen. The band can be seen performing throughout the country for the majority of the year.

Joey Leone Trio

Joey Leone Trio is an old school band specializing in classic rock, funk and R&B, as well as Caribbean, ska and New Orleans music. Their funkified versions of jazz classics makes the Trio a very unique band. The tunes are recognizable but not typical, and it’s all danceable. Rarely do you see a band that can play authentic rock and roll and also be equally as comfortable playing funk and R&B. Imagine the Stones, the Beatles, the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Steppenwolf, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd as well as 60’s pop covers by the Monkees, the Turtles and Paul Revere and the Raiders all on stage and ready to rock at once. Combine that with soul tunes from Wilson Pickett, James Brown and Rick James, I think you’re getting the picture.

Bow Thayer & Perfect Trainwreck

Bow Thayer & Perfect Trainwreck is in the process of recording their third record (tentatively titled “Eden”) with Grammy-winning engineer Justin Guip. Comprised of a failed painter, some lousy carpenters, and a piano tuner, these acclaimed artists cultivate progressive yet soulful mountain music for the general public's consumption in the hills of Vermont with an electric banjo, various other string instruments, used parts found in drums, and a keen eye for the human condition.

Bow aims to forge new sonic frontiers and Perfect Trainwreck, which one writer suggests “will become Vermont's third nationally acclaimed rock band,” carries that vision to far off destinations. Having played with music luminaries such as Levon Helm, John Hiatt, Booker T, and Ringo Starr, the band has seen its fair share of travel across the United States of America and the World at large and plan to do more while supporting their records of facts, analogies and metaphors.
