Ramshead

The place to go for fun and exciting programs designed especially for children and families, as well as for those looking for easier and more difficult terrain. Headquarters for the Ski School Childrens Programs, Friendly Penguin Child Care Center (daycare for ages 6 weeks and up), First Tracks Program (skiing for ages 2 and 3), Ministars & Lowriders (4 to 6 years), Superstars (7 to 12 years). Ramshead Food Court

Serving breakfast and lunch daily with lots of kid-friendly options to keep the little ones on the go, including pizza from Benedetto’s Pizzeria, home-style favorites such as herb crumb topped mac and cheese and made to order deli sandwiches. Also enjoy our fried brownie nuggets with vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Ski & snowboard Rentals

First in selection, proximity and convenience. Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Sat-Sun & holidays 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Kids Ski & Snowboard School 

Our kids group lessons are either a Max 3 or Max 5 program.  Students will be in groups no larger than three in a Max 3 program or 5 in a Max 5 program. Smaller groups allow our instructors to focus on a personalized learning environment for kids.

Kids Private Lessons

 Ages 4 and older.  All private lessons are by reservation only.  Stop by the Private Lessons Desk located at Ramshead Lodge or call (800) 923-9444. Lessons run 1, 2, 3 or 6 hours.  Private group lessons are also available for up to 5 people.

Friendly Penguin Nursury/Day Care

Ages 12 weeks to 6 years. Prepaid reservations required. Full day: 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (8 a.m. start during weekend and holiday periods.)

First Tracks – MAX 3

Ages 2 to 3. Prepaid reservations required. Full day: 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Ministars/Lowriders – MAX 5

Ages 4 to 6. Prepaid reservations required. Full day: 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (8 a.m. start during weekend and holiday periods.)

Superstars – MAX 5

Ages 7 to 12. Full day sessions available at 9:00 a.m.  Half day morning sessions available Sun. through Fri. during non holiday periods at 9:00 a.m.

Camp Freeride – MAX 5

Ages 7 to 18. This program is geared toward experienced skiers and riders who want to learn on freestyle terrain. Full day sessions offered at 9:00 a.m. during holiday periods.

Snowzone – MAX 5

Ages 13 to 18. Full day sessions available at 9:00 a.m.  Half day morning sessions available Sunday through Friday during non holiday periods at 9:00 a.m.

Terrain Options.

Green Circle

Easy Street or Caper to Great Northern are lengthy Green Circle slopes accessible directly from the Ramshead Express Quad. 

Blue Square

Ski or ride directly under the Ramshead Express Quad on Header or take Swirl off to the right from the top of the Ramshead Express Quad.  Ramshead also offers access to the K-1 Gondola and Snowdon Mountain lifts.

Black Diamond

Head to the top of the Ramshead Express Quad and take Caper to Great Northern and utilize the K-1 Express Gondola to get to Killington Peak.  Or head under the tunnel to Snowshed Lodge, take any of the lifts out of the Snowshed area and ski or ride Highlander over to the base of the Superstar Express Quad and access the Black Diamond terrain on Skye Peak.
