Cue the applause because Killington received 19 inches of Grade A POWDER this week! The new snowfall allowed us to re-open the K-1 Express Gondola along with 35 trails, for a total of 40! Plus we’re spinning the North Ridge Triple too. Not only are we expanding terrain, we were the first resort in the East to open daily for skiing and riding on October 29. That’s 168 on-snow days so far and we plan to be open daily through April, conditions permitting.

Farewell March and Hello April

Even though Mother Nature has been unpredictable all season long (temps reached the 80’s last week), Killington Resort was the first resort in the East to open daily for the 2011-12 season on October 29 - only eight weeks after tropical storm Irene. So far, that’s five months or 153 days of skiing and riding and we’re still going strong, Vermont Strong! The snow is piled up on Superstar, Skyelark and Bittersweet and we plan to make turns through April or as long as Mother Nature allows.
