Get Ready, it's President's Week at The Beast
Posted February 14, 2013
Happy Heart Day! Did you know that NECCO makes almost 8 BILLION Sweethearts for Valentine's Day? That's enough BE MINE's to take K-1 to the Peak nearly 80,000 times! And that's not the only sweet thing in New England this weekend - we've been making snow since October 11, 2012, and it shows. With our world-class groomers renovating the trails nightly, well - maybe some things *are* better than candy.
Snowmaking since mid-October…yes, it’s mid-February, and we’ll be turning the guns on again this weekend – that’s five months of making snow! Why are we still making snow? Well, because we’re building the base on our signature spring trails, of course.
In the meantime, let’s celebrate President’s Week at The Beast. We’re dishing out over 60 miles of open terrain for all ability levels, four parks, two pipes and a Boardercross Course on Snowshed Slope and seeded bumps on Mouse Run and Mouse Trap.
Whether on-the-trail or on-the-wing, we’re getting hands-on with creature culture at The Beast for Presidents’ Week! The Vermont Institute of Natural Science and The Nature Museum at Grafton bring their best to Killington for the whole family. Oh, one more thing – it’s free.
Key lifts will spin at 8:00 a.m. February 16-24. Come celebrate with music, workshops and sweet surprises! Keep an eye on the Conditions Report for the latest updates.
