Thanksgiving Weekend Operations Update
Posted November 23, 2011
It’s going to be a white Thanksgiving at Killington Resort this year! Mother Nature has given us many things to be thankful for including opening for the 2011-12 season on October 29. Plus this weekend, we will be skiing and riding top to bottom down sections of Killington Peak, Snowdon and Ramshead Mountains with 11 inches of new snow in the last 24 hours and an all-out assault by our snowmaking team.
We’re pleased to offer skiing and riding on sections of Killington Peak, Snowdon and Ramshead Mountains and we’ll be operating seven lifts to access primarily advanced terrain. Thanks to our dedicated snowmakers with Mother Nature’s support, starting Friday we will open additional trails including Caper and Vale. We'll also open the Ramshead Snowplay area and offer Kids and Adult Learn To Ski or Ride Lessons.
Additionally, the K-1 and Ramshead Lodges will be fully open and the Snowshed Lodge will offer limited services including ticket sales, retail and Private Kids and Adult Snow Sports Lessons for all ability levels. We’ll continue to make snow and expand terrain as long as the conditions permit.
On Thanksgiving, lifts will be open from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and tickets will be $59 for adults (19-64), $50 for Young Adults/Seniors (13-18/65+) and $41 for Juniors (7-12). For Fri, Nov. 25-Sun, Nov. 27, lifts will be open from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and lift tickets will be $69 for adults (19-64), $59 for Young Adults/Seniors (13-18/65+) and $48 for Juniors (7-12).
