The World’s Best Snowboarders and Freeskiers Descend upon Killington Resort, January 19-22

In early July, the three stops of the 2011-12 Winter Dew Tour were announced and Killington Resort was thrilled to discover the four-day event, the largest on-snow event in the East will return for the second year in a row to The Beast of the East. As our excitement grew, so did the anticipation of which athletes will be competing at Bear Mountain?
Drum roll please… The top athletes in freeskiing and snowboarding from around the world descend upon Killington’s Bear Mountain to compete in superpipe and slopestyle competitions, January 19-22 including Louie Vito, Simon Dumont and Kaya Turski.
Now would be a good time to cheer, jump for joy, high five your friends or even better, continue to read so you can discover the all-star lineup of freeskiers and snowboarders that will throw down in superpipe and slopestyle competitions.
Top men’s snowboarders and freeskiers, including reigning champs Louie Vito and Kevin Rolland, will throw down for the chance to gain points as they head into the final stop at Snowbasin in Ogden, Utah. Additionally, women’s freeskiing will debut at Killington’s Pantech Invitational.
Besides the action-packed competitions, the four-day event will also include a Friday night VIP party at the Wobbly Barn and will feature a live DJ set from RAC, the Portland-based cutting edge duo of Andre Allen Anjos and Karl Kling, spinning original remixes and party favorites.

Entering its fourth season, the Winter Dew Tour includes three events over the course of three months with each stop featuring a premier 22-foot superpipe and top-notch slopestyle course as well as live entertainment and a festival village. The Tour will be televised live on NBC Saturday, January 21 at 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 22 at 3:00 p.m.
The 2010-11 Dew Cup champions include Louie Vito (men’s snowboard superpipe), Kelly Clark (women’s snowboard superpipe), Torstein Horgmo (men’s snowboard slopestyle), Jamie Anderson (women’s snowboard slopestyle), Kevin Rolland (ski superpipe) and Bobby Brown (ski slopestyle).The Winter Dew Tour continues its commitment to progression in action sports, with premier superpipes and the highest level slopestyle courses.
