Miles upon Miles of Terrain, New Parks
Posted January 10, 2013
With six peaks covered in snow, we're offering the most open terrain in Vermont for every ability level this weekend. Whether it’s your first time on snow or you’re into cruising the groomers, bashing bumps, tree skiing or hitting up park features, we’ve got you covered and then some. Get ready for an action-packed weekend of good times on and off the snow.
With the warm temperatures moving in this weekend, our hardworking snowmakers will be taking a break, but rest assured, they will be back in action once the temperatures permit. Earlier in the week snowmaking occurred on Lower Double Dipper, Ovation, Panic Button, Vertigo and we even freshened up some spots along Great Eastern. Plus the chance for snow returns early next week.
This weekend we’re offering over 70 miles of open terrain. What else? Where to begin…how about two new parks on Ramshead Mountain! Timberline has officially opened for the 2013 season and boasts 25 small and medium features and a 200 foot long Minipipe with 13 foot walls. New to the park scene, then check out the all-new, just opened, Easy Street Progression Park with six progression features – yep, even the old guys can learn a new trick and slide a box.
Be sure to check out the Conditions Report for the latest information regarding operating hours, trail, lift and weather information or check out photos to see what the conditions look like.
Please note Killington Resort promotes inbounds skiing and riding only on open, designated trails, slopes, freestyle and tree skiing areas. Never ski or ride alone.
