The National Weather Service is throwing darts at the forecasting dartboard and trying to figure out just how much snow we’re in for over the next few days. But, according to my contact at the NWS in Burlington (who is also a skis), we’re in for some good snow over the next few days, so much so, that he’s planning to make a drive south and product test with us on Monday.

The first significant snowstorm of the season will set us up real nicely for the coming weekend. With 13 inches already on the ground and more to come in the next few days, plus perfect snowmaking conditions, we are planning for a massive terrain expansion for Saturday.

Additional terrain for Sunday. NEW expansions plans. Know the Code!

As snow continues to fall and optimal snowmaking temperatures remain, we plan to open additional terrain as conditions permit. On Sunday, we may open both Highline and Upper Chute based upon evaluation by Ski Patrol. In addition, snowmaking will continue on both trails throughout the day. We hope to have the Snowdon Quad and Lower Chute open in the next couple of days as well.
