United Way Day kicks off Summer Season

For the fifth consecutive year, we’re are teaming up with the United Way to offer a free day of activities at the Pico Mountain Adventure Center and Killington Resort with a suggested $10 donation to the United Way of Rutland County.

Thanks to the hard work by our mountain operations team and snow cats operators, we’ve been able to maintain a skiable surface on many trails. However, Friday will be the final day of operation for both the K-1 Gondola and the Snowdon Triple.

The old Snowshed Crossover is open for the spring season, allowing access to such trails as upper Skyeburst, upper Vertigo and upper Needle’s Eye.

Throwing weather darts; snowmaking on Ovation

The National Weather Service is throwing darts at the forecasting dartboard and trying to figure out just how much snow we’re in for over the next few days. But, according to my contact at the NWS in Burlington (who is also a skis), we’re in for some good snow over the next few days, so much so, that he’s planning to make a drive south and product test with us on Monday.
