News and Events

That winter-like weather pattern that moved through the Killington area earlier in the week came bearing gifts, skiers and riders more terrain and more lifts for Easter Weekend! Full details can be found on the Insider Blog, but the bottom line is: 61 trails and 6 lifts for Friday.

A few inches of snow, cold temps, and Killington's extremely dedicated grooming team have come together to reopen the Needles Eye and Bear Mountain areas for the weekend. 53 trails are on the plan for grooming, including all available beginner terrain as well as a selection of expert and intermediate trails. Cascade, Downdraft, Superstar, Skyeburst, and Needles Eye will be among the trails groomed, while fans of ungroomed steeps will find Outer Limits and Double Dipper more to their liking.

Beginner terrain is available from the K-1 Express Gondola on Great Northern and from the Snowshed Express Quad on Snowshed Slope, Highlander, and the Learn-to-Ski-and-Ride-Area. There is no other top-to-bottom beginner terrain at this time.

The Superstar Express Quad is scheduled to operate from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and all other lifts will operate from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Late season spring conditions exist. Ski and ride responsibly.

Base Lodge Update
K-1 Base Lodge and the Peak Lodge are both open with regular services. Snowshed Base Lodge will be open with limited services (ticket sales and restrooms) on Friday and Saturday. Bear Mountain, Ramshead, and Skyeship Base Lodges have closed for the season.

Snow Sports School
Private Lessons will be available on a limited basis April 18th through April 20. All lessons will meet at the K-1 Guest Services desk. Please note that we are offering very limited beginner terrain at this time.
