The Killington Cup countdown continues!
We're ramping up in a big way for the return of the Stifel Killington Cup presented by Dunkin'. Earlier this week, we announced our live music lineup for this year's event, as The Revivalists, Dillion Francis, Aluna, and Congress The Band will keep the party going from Friday night all the way through Sunday. Check out our full schedule during Thanksgiving weekend to see when your favorite(s) will be taking the stage! As a reminder, Friday night's festivities including the athlete bib draw and fireworks show are free, while entry on Saturday and Sunday starts at just $10, so make sure to grab your tickets soon. Not many places where you can get a premier concert experience at that price, not to mention seeing the fastest women's alpine ski racers in the world up close!
Snowmaking Updates
In case you missed the cold weather excitement last weekend, we made snow for the first time this season, a full two weeks ahead of our first snowmaking run in 2025! The hum of around 165 snowguns on North Ridge and Superstar had us dreaming of winter during a nice stretch of below-freezing temperatures on the mountain. As always, we're keeping an eye (or several) on the forecast and will continue to make snow during any extended windows that appear in the near future. Until then, the work doesn't stop for our tireless snowmaking crew, as the tail end of our Snowdon Quad project means new snowgun towers will soon be installed along Conclusion to bring snowmaking back to that trail for the first time in nearly a decade. More snow will be here before you know it.
Final Bike Park Weekend
Before we trade our bikes for skis and boards, we've still got one more two-wheeled weekend in store. Snowshed will spin for our last Bike Park days of the season on Friday, October 23 through Sunday, October 25 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Enjoy some of the dirt work that our Trail Crew is finishing on Step It Up, or just savor our last days of classic Snowshed flow on Stinky Skills Zone, Coaster Trail, and all your favorites. This is also the final weekend for our mountain bike sale, as Rocky Mountain Slayer rental bikes are still available for $1,650 + tax in sizes S–XL. Additionally, any bike purchasers can get 25% off their purchase of select ski & snowboard demos right next door! Stop in our rental shop at Snowshed Lodge to browse our selection.
Jess Perlmutter Partnership
Another big announcement this week: Jess Perlmutter, member of the 2026 U.S. Olympic team and a Winter X Games gold medalist, is officially partnering with Killington Resort, the same place where much of her development as a now pro snowboarder took place. From her first backflip in Timberline to the education she is still receiving from Killington Mountain School, Jess' story is one that has constantly involved these mountains and this community. At just 16 years old, the best is still yet to come for her, and we can't be more excited to be part of it. Check out our recent Q&A video with Jess as we continue to get closer to our first park laps of the season in Reason.
Killington & Pico Season Tune
If your gear needs some love after a summer in storage, we've got just the place to keep you skiing and riding on sharp edges. Our season-long tune is now available to keep your equipment fresh from early-season turns through spring bumps. Starting at just $249 for two sets of equipment, you can save even more on deals for couples and families alike. New for this season, along with the high-tech equipment offered at Snowshed Demos & Tuning, hand tuning services are now available at K-1 Lodge and Pico Base Lodge as part of your season tune, offering added convenience no matter where your turns take you.
See you on the trails!
