Camping & Overnight Parking at Killington Resort

Camping and overnight parking are available on a first-come, first-served basis for resort guests with a valid activity or mountain access product. We do not accept campground reservations or require registration. Camping and overnight parking are exclusively for paid resort guests and are not available for transient visitors or overnight parking unrelated to resort activities.

Guests may camp for up to 10 nights per season during the summer and 10 nights per season during the winter. To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please follow the camping guidelines outlined below.

Camping and campground facilities are used at your own risk. Killington Resort is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property and reserves the right to revoke camping or parking privileges at any time. Before your visit, please review our Black Bear Safety Tips to help keep both wildlife and campers safe.

Summer Camping & Overnight Parking (May-October)

Camping & overnight parking for summer 2026 is now open.

Please remember to adhere to these guidelines:

  • Vale Lot Bays A & B are designated for tent camping and include tent platforms, picnic tables, and fire rings.
  • Vale Lot Bays C & D are designated for RV and trailer camping and include picnic tables and fire rings.
  • Bay E contains a portable toilet and dumpster. Camping is not permitted in this bay.
  • Stoves, barbecues, and campfires are permitted but must be attended at all times. Campfires are allowed only in the provided metal fire rings and must be fully extinguished with water before leaving. Do not leave fires smoldering.
  • Firewood may be collected from downed limbs and brush near the Vale Parking Lots or purchased locally. Do not cut live trees or branches, and do not bring uncertified firewood into Vermont from out of state.
  • Potable water is available from the spigot outside the main entrance of Ramshead Base Lodge.
  • Showers are available at the Pico Fitness Center. Non-members must purchase a locker room day-access pass to use the shower facilities. Visit picomountain.com for more information.
  • Camping and overnight parking are not permitted in any other parking lot, including Skyeship, during summer operations. Exceptions may be made for select events and will be noted in the event information.
  • Outside alcohol is permitted only within the designated camping areas. Consumption of personal alcohol elsewhere on resort property, including base lodges, is prohibited under Vermont liquor regulations.

Winter Camping & Overnight Parking (November-May)

Camping & overnight parking for winter 2025/26 is closed.

Please remember to adhere to these guidelines:

  • Camping and overnight parking are permitted only in the Skyeship parking lot on Route 4, across from Skyeship Base Lodge, from November through May. Camping and overnight parking are not allowed in any other parking lot or location during this period.
  • No restrooms, potable water, or dumpsters are available. All campers must be self-contained and provide their own portable toilet or approved waste system. Disposal of trash, wastewater, or human waste on site is strictly prohibited.
  • Vehicles must be moved when requested for snow removal operations or may be towed at the owner's expense.
  • Campfires are not permitted.
  • Showers are available at the Pico Fitness Center. Non-members must purchase a locker room day-access pass to use the shower facilities. Visit picomountain.com for more information.

Black Bear Safety & Food Storage

  • To keep Killington’s abundant wildlife (including Bears) away from your campsite, please always store your food properly and remove garbage and waste from the camping area promptly. Never store food in a tent.

Pets

Killington Resort is proud to be a pet-friendly resort. Pets are allowed in campgrounds provided their owners observe the following rules:

  • Pets must be on a leash, in a carrier or under the control of their handler at all times.
  • Any messes created by a pet need to be cleaned up by the handler.
  • Killington Resort reserves the right to ask that any pet be removed for any reason.
  • Pets must not be left unattended, either in a vehicle or leashed to an object.
  • Unattended pets, particularly in vehicles, may warrant intervention by our local animal control, if the pet’s safety is in question.
  • Barking and other disturbances must be kept under control, particularly after quiet hours begin.
  • Please review the Killington Resort Pet Policy before visiting.

Quiet and Generator Hours

  • Quiet hours are from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Generator use is allowed until 10:00 p.m. and we ask you to be considerate of your neighbors.

Emergencies & Severe Weather

In the event of an emergency, dial 911. In the event of severe weather, please seek shelter inside. During operating hours, you may seek shelter inside Killington Resort lodges.

  • During summer camping in the Vale Parking Lots, inform the dispatcher you are located on Vale Road at Killington Resort in the Vale Parking Lot camping area.
  • During winter camping at Skyeship, inform the dispatcher you are located in the Skyeship parking lot across from Skyeship Base Lodge; the address for Skyeship Lodge is 7428 US-4, Killington, VT 05751.

Free parking is available at all Killington Resort base lodges. In the winter, premium parking is available at K-1 & Snowshed Lodges.

Dogs are welcome in outdoor areas and on select pet-friendly trails during the non-ski season. Service animals are welcome year-round. Please review our Pet Policy for full details. Please note that animals are not permitted on gondolas or chairlifts at any time.
